There have been no announcements about the Community Ownership Fund (COF) since the General Election; however, the Prospectus has been amended and now states Round 4 will be the last round. Reference to two bidding windows has been removed and reference to the fund closing on 31 March 2025 has also been removed. “The new government is extremely busy...” has been changed to: “The government is giving full consideration to existing commitments on COF and will confirm in due course …..”
We have opened an application with the National Lottery; We have until 8 October 2024 to complete this application.
Work is almost completed on producing a compendium of potential sources of ‘Small Grants’ where we meet the eligibility criteria.
In the FY 2023/4, CM raised £12,578.23 from events and donations from other village organisations. After just 5 months, of the FY 2024/5, the total raised is £8,566.91 – we are on track to better last years total! The last two events -the ‘Duck Race’ and ‘Quiz Night at the Rising Sun’ raised £3564.50 and £300 respectively. Your support and participation in village events is an essential part of community life, enhancing community spirit and it’s general well-being – well done for playing your part!
